About

My name is Kyle Worthy, and I’m a photographer and book artist from Charlotte, North Carolina. I graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Arts in 2004. A photographer since the age of 15, my current body of work focuses on how memory and image relate to one another.

My work has been shown in group exhibitions like SlowExposures (Zebulon, GA), Art Fields (Lake City, SC), PhotoSC (Columbia, SC), SxSE Gallery (Molean, GA), and The Light Factory (Charlotte, NC). I’ve also held solo exhibitions at Ross Gallery (Anyone’s Ghost, 2017, Charlotte, NC) and MONA Gallery (Untethered Land, 2014, Charlotte, NC).

I am the co-founder of Memory Vistas Projects, a collaboration between myself and my sister, writer Leah Worthy. The project combines words and imagery with family ephemera to create pieces that tell real and imagined stories inspired by the places that have invited us to see the past, and the ones we love, afresh. Our self-published titles include Dark Water Lavender (2022), Tuesday in Mobile (2023), and Fireworks (2023).
